Summer Youth Internship - Applications are now open!
Calling all young people aged 15-17 for our paid summer internship
We're looking for 3 young people to join us for a paid internship programme. The internship will take place two days a week for three weeks, every Wednesday and Thursday from the 12th - 27th June!
During this internship, you'll get the chance to co-create interactive STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) and smart cities content with fellow student interns, gain experience in social media and communications, and meet a diverse group of people working in STEAM careers.
We want to make sure all of our workshops are created for young people, with young people!
Academy of the Near Future student interns will be paid €14 per hour for 36 hours, which is €504 in total. Each week will consist of 12 hours, from 09:30am - 3:30pm each Wednesday and Thursday.
In this role you will...
Support programme design, content & evaluation processes
Document education activities with photos and videos
Social media promotion of programme activities
Any other necessary duties as directed by the Academy of the Near Future team
Who we are looking for
Comfortable working independently and in a team.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Creativity, curiosity, and an enthusiasm for meeting and working with a wide range of individuals.
Capacity to think critically and offer constructive feedback (we don’t want you to just agree with us all the time, we want your honest opinions!)
How do I apply?
To apply for a place on our summer internship, you’ll need to complete this short application form.
There are a few short written questions, and then you are invited to upload a short video (max 1:30 min) outlining why you are interested in the internship and what 3 things you would bring to the programme.
As always, you don't need to worry about exam results or past experience. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who would like to contribute to our programmes and future workshops!
