YOUthLabs study session in Dublin!
As part of the European 🇪🇺 project YOUth Labs – Creative Spaces for Young People, which we are working in partnership with four other countries we were host from the 16th to the 19th to four delegations from Poland 🇲🇨, Portugal 🇵🇹, Italy 🇮🇹 and Latvia 🇦🇹. We showed them what Dublin has to offer for young people and learned from them new youth ideas and even some dances!
During their first day of visit we had inspiring presentations from youth programmes and opportunities; Gaisce - The President's Award, Comhairle na nÓg, Inner City Misfits and Dublin City Council. We had the opportunity to kayak in the River Liffey, and visit Trinity College Dublin.
The second day we started at Google Bolands Mill, had a debate about youth related topics such as AI, youth spaces and tools for youth voice. We taught them some Irish dances like An Dreoilín, Walls of Limerick. They felt so inspired that they taught us some Polish, Latvian and Portuguese dancing as well! 💃 🕺
We finished with our amazing Youth Advisory Panel giving a tour in the city centre. Delegations had an amazing experience and learned a lot of what they would like to replicate in their own countries. Our next destination is Portugal, where we will have a similar study session to learn from each other.
