The Connective Detective Exhibition
On the second May weekend (9th/10th) we had the privilege of hosting ‘The Connective Detective’ Exhibition – an event that turned out to be a great success and a reminder that smart city discussions should include people from all ages!
At the heart of the event were our primary school students who stepped into the role of smart city innovators!
Friday morning was dedicated to a private showcase where our invited guests had the chance to engage directly with our young innovators, listen to presentations, ask questions, give feedback and explore the thought process behind each prototype. All ideas tackled a real challenge that we are facing in Dublin City, including ideas to support:
⛺ homeless people
🏫 cleaner schools ,
parking sensors 🚗 ,
🎦 racism detection cameras
🌊 drones picking up litter in water bodies
Later in the day and on Saturday, the exhibition opened to the public. Over 300 visitors walked through the doors to learn about smart cities and telecommunications, filling the space with curiosity and conversation.
We’re proud to have facilitated an event that gave young voices a stage and reminded us that the future is in good hands!
To everyone who participated, attended, or supported us in making this event a reality, we want to say 'thank you'!
