What is Design Your Future City?
We are calling Transition Year students to identify a challenge in their local area for a chance to participate in the 'Design Your Future City' TY Week!
A collaboration between CONNECT at Trinity College Dublin and Dublin City Council, the Academy of the Near Future is excited to expand the ‘Design Your Future City’ challenge and deliver a week-long programme for Transition Year students.
During this free week programme students will explore the technology behind a ‘smart city’ in creative hands-on workshops, reflect on the challenges facing our towns and cities and create their own idea to try and solve it!
Highlights from the week include:
Interactive art, design, communication and science workshops which call on you to work with others and problem solve.
Experimenting with citizen science to tackle a changing climate.
Meet STEM, design and innovation experts who will help bring your ideas to life.
This programme is for the curious and the inexperienced. You don’t need to be familiar with technology to apply, just be enthusiastic about creating a better future for our cities, towns and communities!
